Laptop issue.  Can't get started up.  Blank black screen after couple mins of "Preparing Automatic Repair" message.  This started after automatic downloads to my computer.  How do I fix this issue?  I read posts online about other people with the same issue and maybe related to the hard drive.

I understand that your HP Notebook PC running Windows 8.1 is stuck in the Automatic Repair Loop and you are looking to have it resolved. I am providing you with a Microsoft Community thread: How to Fix the Automatic Repair Loop in Windows 8.1, which has addressed this very issue and provided all the known solution to it. I recommend you review the thread and apply the recommended solutions. Please re-post if you require additional support. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
