Hi I got the Hp steam notebook not even a month ago and it will no longer work. I used it maybe 3 times and have taken incredibly good care of it but went to use it 2 weeks ago it will not go past the Hp logo screen. Please help!!

Hi,
When you say it does not get past the HP logo, do you mean it reboots or does it remain with the logo on screen?
Try pressing F11 at boot up and see if you can enter recovery. You should be able to go to troubleshoot and then advanced options and try startup repair or restore to previous restore point.
There should also be the option recovery which can recover the Windows system or perform a factory reset.
If does not work try to press F2 at boot and perform a system test with HP diagnostics.
Do you have a bootable windows 10 pendrive. If not, you can download media creation tool from Microsoft and create a bootable USB drive to install or repair Windows 10.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You an change boot order in BIOS so that you can boot from the media. Once you get to screen where it says install, choose repair this PC and go to advanced options and choose startup repair.
Let me know,
David

Hi,
When you say I followed your instructions, what part of the above did you perform and what happened. Example: I pressed F2 and this occured.
When you say it will not do anything at all, do you mean the screen soes not turn on or there are no leds or that the logo does not appear?
Let me know,
David

An alternative is to let HP do the work of troubleshooting and fixing your PC.
You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.
While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.
I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs.
If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836
Good Luck
