HP 15-f085wm
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have a HP 15-f085wm that is running Windows 8.1 (64bit), and I do not like the OS, I am wanting to downgrade it to Windows 7 Pro (64bit).

I went to find the windows 7 (64bit) drivers for this machine, on HP's website and the only options that I could find was Windows 8 and Windows 10.

I cannot believe that HP does not have Windows 7 drivers for this machine.

I need help with this.  I am not overly impressed with Windows 8.1, and I need to get it running Windows 7,  I do not have the desire or the time to learn this new OS.

I would be most greatful for any help with this matter.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

First of all, you to not have to "learn a new OS" to use Windoes 8, all you have to do is install a Start Menu app, run the PC in desktop mode, and it will look and behave very much like Windows 7.

A good free Start Menu app is ClassicShell:  http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/

Second, HP only warranties their PC for the OS versions that come preinstalled.  They do not make drivers for OS versions that preceed those.  So, it's quite understandable that since Win7 did not come preinstalled on your PC, HP does not make drivers for it.

Yes you can downgrade your pc to windows 10.

The only thing is you will have to download drivers from other sources(like gpu drivers from amd website).

Sometimes it is difficult to obtain WLAN and bluetooth drivers while upgrading/downgrading OS but im sur if you look over internet you will find the drivers.
