So can you access your desktop. If so click the flag and type in Change your Windows product key

What MIGHT have happened, if you made the mistake of having Windows Updated automatically enabled, is that your PC tried to Upgrade itself to Win10, failed, and has now left the PC in an unusable state.
So, what version of Windows is now running on the PC?
You can retrieve your product key using this utility: Showkey - Windows 10 Forums
Then, you can try entering it manually to reactivate the PC.
If that does not work, then open a Command Prompt, type "winver" (without the quotes) and report back here the result of that command.
Good Luck

No its not works. This is an OEM key model so i didn't receive a windows key with my laptop.
After my laptop totally formatted i have now installed the Windows 8.1 single language but i cannot activate the windows. Unfortunately in sri lanka there is no any HP agent gives support for this kind of case.
Thats why request a help from you! Pls advise

Yes -- you DID receive the key with your laptop, as it is embedded into the UEFI firmware of the motherboard.
However, it will only activate if the OS version on the PC now is exactly the same version that came preinstalled.
IF you installed a different version, it will NEVER activate.
