Cloning dynamic drive

I already cloned several HD but now I need to clone the original HD (NOTEBOOK HP 450G2) but it is a DYNAMIC MBR HD.

Looking into the web I understand that:

1) I have to convert the destination SSD into a dynamic disk.

2) I need a cloning software able to clone dynamic disk.

This steps are correct?

Which software is suitable?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

You have Dynamic Disks because somewhere along the line the creation of TOO MANY partitions was forced onto your PC.

You do NOT want to have Dynamic Disks as they are a real pain to work with.

Unfortunately, the way to fix that involved removing the excessive partitions and then converting the remaining ones back to Basic Volumes -- and with that, there is always the risk of data loss.l

But you need to think seriously about how you would go about doing this, as your present situation is just going to continue to be problematic.

The picture show the HD as it is.

I think that I have to do a system image (not the entire HD) on an external HD and then I will restore the image in the new SSD with a recovery disk.

I think that I will have the following partitions on the new SSD:

HP_RECOVERY      primary

SYSTEM                    primary

Windows                    primary

I think that I will lose the HP_TOOLS partition. Is such partition useful?

I can copy the HP_TOOLS partition and the G partition (data files) on two different logic partitions.

I will appreciate a comment.
