Hi,

Unfortunately,  business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.

If you Contact HP Business support, they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

Regards,

This is a business class notebook and it has more stringent security than consumer models infact they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial Number and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.

Please contact HP for further support

Pop.

David is correct.

There are no master password generators for ProBooks or EliteBooks and most business class laptops.

You will need to contact HP.

Or look at this link.

I have a master external USB HDD with his programs that I have removed hundreds of passwords with Mazzif's help.

Mazzif’s program will detect your UUID, Serial Number and model number then use that information to produce an .exe file to clear the password.

If you find it to be too technical then.

Replace the BIOS chip.

If you have good soldering skills order the BIOS chip. You will receive a picture of the chips location after purchase.
