Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

When I have my laptop plugged in, and I try to use it, it sends a small shock through my body and then immediately shuts down ( I have the HP Envy 17). Is there a cause for this? How do I prevent this from happening in the future. I have recently been charging my laptop until full, and then unplugging to use so my computer does not shut down while I am in the middle of emails, work etc.
