OMEN by HP - 15-ce006ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP OMEN 15-ce006ne. I have been facing performance issues and my BIOS is around 5 years old when I tried to update the BIOS, I can run sp123530 but I cannot get into the actual BIOS update screen at all it just asks for permission to run as administrator loads for some time and then just stops working. And I made sure to double check the version numbers, the one I currently have installed is F.15 and the one on the software and drivers page is F.24 Rev.A

Please Help

Hi,

The BIOS updates are released up to a couple of years at best. If the laptop has any performance issues after 5 years then it won't be because of the BIOS. I see that the laptop comes with the old fashion hard drive which is highly likely the source of the bad performance because they don't last forever and give up pretty early at times.

I would suggest an upgrade to a SSD but Windows could be slow even with the SSD.
