OK, then I would suggest trying a different media player to see if that makes a difference -- this it the one that a LOT of folks (including me) prefer over Windows Media Player: http://www.videolan.org/index.html
Good Luck

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
DVDs may all look the same, but the are not all formatted the same.
So, what is on this DVD -- music, videos?
Is this a commercial DVD -- because usually, all you have to do with those is insert them in the drive and they start playing.
Also, what media player are you using -- Windows Media Player?
We can proceed when you provide the information.
Thanks
