My HDD recently went out in my laptop (HP Envy DV7-7250US). I purchased a new 1 TB HDD (same as original) to install but there are no drivers listed for this model any longer. How can I reinstall OS and drivers to get my laptop working again?
Original OS: Windows 8
Would like to upgrade to Windows 10

Yes. After replacement of hard drive, you can just clean install Windows 10 using Microsoft Windows media creation tool. It'll automatically get ACTIVATED.

Your laptop came with Windows 8 64bit.
If you've not upgraded (free) and ACTIVATED to Windows 10 before July 29, 2016, you are not eligible for free automatic activation after future upgrade or clean install. But there are no drivers listed for Windows 10 for your model, in case you are looking for it.
Drivers for Windows 8 is here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-dv7-Notebook-PC-series/5296050/model/5316948
No Windows 8.1 / 10 drivers listed.
If you want to factory reset OS, you should use recovery media that you must have created after first setup.
Else, order it from HP directly or from here:

Thank you very much for the reply. It is greatly appreciated.
One more quick question based on your response. I upgraded to Windows 10 when it became available to me via Microsoft. Will Windows 10 still be available for free since I'm having to reinstall due to HDD failure?

One more question:
If/when I order the recovery disk, does that come with the activation number that you get with your OS? When I purchased the computer everything was already installed and I never got anything with the number listed on it and it isn't on the back of the computer either. Will this be problem or will the recovery disk help with this? I don't want to tried to load everything back on and then it not work due to not having that code.

You're welcome.
Recovery media will install operating system back to factory settings and will automatically get activated. No need of installing drivers and softwares additionally too. Everything will be like ready to use, as it were when you bought this laptop and switched on first time.
