When I try to use F11 to fix the Unmountable Boot Volume Error, it just goes to a blank screen

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

F11 is used to launch the HP Recovery Manager -- and that is used to Reset your PC, which will NOT work if there is a problem with the hard disk.  And based on the error you are seeing, that is likely the case.

So, in this case, you need to run the HP hardware diagnostics to check that the drive has died.

You can use these steps: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

Please report back what it finds.

Good Luck
