I ordered the recovery media from the product support page -- http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/5186791/model/5218395
Today I got the recovery media usb in the mail. I plugged in in, booted from the usb, and began the recovery process.
Going through the factory image preparation wizard things went well until 100%. When it reached 100% I got an error saying that
-- "Windows cannot find 'D:/System.sav/Util/RStone.exe' make sure you typed the filename correctly and try again"
I'm assuming that "D:/" refers to my usb recovery media.
Anybody got anything? Not sure what to do here..

Sounds like the Recovery Media is faulty. Fill out the request for help on your support page with details and hopefully you can get some help with a replacement.

Use this link. it has a drop down to select your problem. Choose "My issue is not listed". Then click the blue button titled "Continue to contact HP". it will open a form to fill out with details of the problem.
