Ive tried pressing buttons it won't do anything accept switch off. I've only had it since Christmas is it broke? Do I need to take it too a shop?

Thank you.

Your AMD processor laptop: https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c05310209

It came with Windows 10 Home 64 bit

I would suggest you to Clean Install Windows 10 Home 64 bit using Microsoft Windows media creation tool by creating UEFI bootable USB media, follow this: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html

Windows will be automatically activated after installation while connected to internet

Hi,

Tap away F2 key as soon as you power on laptop, perform extensive hard drive and memory tests from System Diagnostics.

Let it finish.

What is the exact model name, product number of your laptop?

Have you created HP Recovery USB using HP Recovery Manager after first setup of this notebook?

It won't even do that.

Product: x7 j45a #abu
Model: 15-ba 02na

No I never did. Does this mean it's ruined?

What do you mean by it won't even do that?

You should be able to tap away f2 or ESC key repeatedly as soon as you power on laptop and go to system diagnostics to perform extensive drive tests.

Done the check came back fine. Restarted the factory setting and it's doing the same thing at 64% reinstall is this normal?

It's very unfortunate you didn't create HP recovery USB just after initial setup of this Notebook. This would have saved time here.

HP recovery partition built in hard drive might have got corrupted when system underwent major Windows Build upgrade available from Microsoft.

What is the exact model name, product number of your laptop? The one you gave previously is incorrect.

What is the installed Operating system?
