Product: HP Notebook 15-dy1051wm

Hello, can someone please help with me with this issue? My laptop started flickering after I unlock when Turing on my laptop. It never used to do this, when I move the mouse, my screen goes black, and I have to press any button or move the mouse around to get the screen to light up but doesn't stay on. I have checked for updates, and everything is updated, I have scanned the laptop, and nothing seems to be wrong. However, a week ago a friend was cleaning out my laptop because since I purchased it several years ago, I had not cleaned it up and several apps were deleted by him, but they were only apps that I do not use. A restart was done and for about an hour I didn't have any issues then the flickering started, and I cannot get the windows explore or google to stay open without it flickering. Does anyone know what could have possibly went wrong or how I can fix this?

You said a friend cleaned it out -- did they open up the case to do that?
