Hi All!

I am in a very annoying situation.

I got a new notebook from my friend England, HP EliteBook 840 G3.

I tried to login to the BIOS but it's BIOS Administrator protected. I spoke with him but he said that he did not set BIOS Password.

After I tried to get solution, read forums etc. I found in HP forum that if you get error code they can help you and sending a bypass code. The problem is that I have no error code, the BIOS just say "Locked, press power button to restart".

Please, help me if You can. Anything can help!

Thanks in advance,

Lui

The Elitebook is a business class machine with much tighter security than consumer class machines. As you have discovered they do not generate a code. Only HP Tech Support can help with the password after providing proof of ownership.

For business class machines in US/Can call  800-334-5144  If you live in another part of the world, start here>>Contact HP
