Hello I recently bought a m6 w105dx I installed SSD and lost sound for some reason, no audio device detected anyhow tried to get into bios to see if something was disabled and it is asking for admin password, tried a few different ones and got warning with code [i 6719177] can anyone help with the bios password
And perhaps the sound issue

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums I understand that the PC is no longer able to detect the Sound device And yes you’re Prediction of checking whether the Sound is disabled in BIOS or not is a good One But since the BIOS is protected by a password it is quite a challenge to Re seat the password – Besides the only option is to Reseat the ROM Jumper in the Motherboard which can make things Haywire My easiest suggestions is put the Original Hard drive back in the pc and see if you get the sound Back If the sound is back it is perhaps that after SSD your PC requires a Drivers update for the sound and a BIOS update too If still the same issue persists it is wise decision to contact HP http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html Hope this helped.
