My laptop goes to sleep after a time with no activity, which is fine. However, it NEVER wakes up. I always have to make sure it is unplugged and pull the battery to restart it, which is a hassle. I would like to say that this occured after my Windows 10 update, but that is not the case. It has always done this. I'm ready to ditch it and go back to a Dell. Please advise.

Hello, @Chiefsbride
Thanks for the update & appreciate all your efforts 🙂
I see that you were working with @The_Fossette. I would like to jump in with a suggestion 🙂
Let's try to change and restore the “power options” to try and fix this issue. Follow the steps below:
- Go to “Control panel” – Change the “View by” (top right corner) to “Small icons”.
- Select ”Power options”.
- Make sure the power plan selected is “Balanced (recommended)” – Select “Change plan settings”.
- Select the options which say “Restore default settings for this plan”.
- That should help. But if you still face an issue, turn off the computer sleep mode and check.
Also, did you change the power management setting for your keyboard from the device manager? Let me know!
I will watch for your reply. Good luck!
Cheers 🙂
