Hi, James:

The only place that sells Vista recovery media for your model notebook would be this vendor at the link below:

Computer Surgeons - Recovery Kit 444391-001 For HP Model Number dv6308nr

Thanks!

I’ll think about this as I may not get it and get a new pc.  I don’t really want to pay for it but il think about it

If there is any other place that you can get a ISO for this please let me know.

Thanks,

James

You're very welcome, James.

What issues are you having with the current installation?

You can download all of the drivers and software you need for your PC at the link below:

This is the wireless adapter driver you need for the model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with:

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows Vista

It keeps crashing when I boot it up for some reason

I wanted to restore it back to how I got it when it was brand new

The only way to restore the PC to its out of the box condition would be to use the recovery media on it, and there's no guarantee that will work either.  It could be a hardware problem.

The PC is around 17 years old.

It may be time to put it out to pasture.

Ok I will buy a new pc.

Thanks for the help!
