Hi All! I was wondering if anyone could help me. My laptop has started saying selected boot image did not authenticate, and wants me to press enter. However, when ever I do this, the laptop just turns off. I have read through the forums and tried every single methos. No matter what I do, I cannot access and kind of BIOS or diagnostics, whatever I choose makes it go to that screen. If you could give me any help, I will be extremely grateful. It came preinstalled with Windows 8, and has since been updated to Windows 10. Also, when I turn the computer on, I hear a wierd buzzing from the mousepad area, what is that?
Thanks You!

Hey there! @mycatdaphne, thanks for the response.
Thanks for performing troubleshooting.
As you mentioned that you are still unable to access BIOS.
It is a hardware issue please contact HP support for service options.

Hi! @mycatdaphne, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are unable to boot into your PC and getting error Safe Mode boot image not authenticate.
Please try few steps recommended below.
Reboot the notebook and press F10 until the BIOS loads.
Check both the "boot options" and "secure boot configuration" sections for the ability to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot Support.
Disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot Support.
Save the changes and reboot the notebook.
Verify whether the issue is resolved and post the result.
If the above steps do not work try rolling back BIOS by using the link below.
