My brother gave me his old laptop. When I turned it on there was a blue box asking me to 'enter administrator password or power on password.' After three incorrect attempts the screen says 'system disable' key:64233925. The laptop is a few years old so it's out of warranty but I would love to give it to my son as a starter laptop. Can anyone help me?

I have an HP Pavillion laptop.  It is only a couple of months old.  I have always had an issue logging in.  I do know my password.  Sometimes it lets me in sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes on the 3rd or 4th or 5th attempt it will let me in.  Today, it won't let me in.  It looks like it is trying but then comes back and says incorrect password but believe me I know my password.   Can anyone help me?  It is so frustrating.

Thanks....I first typed in that code.  I didn't reboot but then I tried my password again and I got in.  That is so frustrating!  Thank you sooooo much!
