Product: 13-c002dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
I am trying to reset my computer to give it away, there is no longer a warranty on the product. I have tried different way to resetting my computer but nothing seems to work, I keep getting the same error message "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made. Check for solutions to this problem"
Any ideas on how to hard reset this computer and clear all data.
Thank you

Hi,
In that case, you have to either order recovery media from HP or third party online seller.
http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/bph07143
http://computersurgeons.com
http://www.restoredisks.com
And then boot from recovery USB to factory reset OS:

Or you can do a clean install of Windows 8.1 64 bit using Microsoft windows media creation tool by creating UEFI bootable USB.
https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-windows-8-1-iso-download-create.html
Windows 8.1 will get automatically activated after installation, while connected to internet.
