I keep getting the notification that the HP_TOOLS (E: Drive) is almost full. When I go to check it, I realize that I have two backups there. I got the computer from my dad. One of the backups says "Rob-HP" and the other "Alex-HP". The "Rob-HP" one was last modified in 2012, and mine was in September. If I don't need my dad's anymore, the "Rob-HP", could I just delete it and keep mine? Will anything on the computer mess up because of it?

Yes, you can delete the folder. You should not store your backup in Tools partition. Refer the following weblinks depending on the operating system you are using for more information and next steps.

Hello, I was following the directions for the problem: HP Notebook PCs - Error: Low Disk Space. You are running out of disk space on HP_Tools (Windows 7). This was previously answered by 2 people in 2014. Now I am asking person #2 because you are an employee at HP and you might have a different solution.

I went with the first persons explanation but came up to a problem. When I got to Protection settings to check if HP_Tools (E) was on or off it was NOT showing so now what do I do?? BTW, I have not saved any files to this area that I know have. I'm wondering since finding HP Solutions for my printer did that file go to this HP_Tools? I am really frustrated with this dilemma. I don't want to one day go to turn the computer on and it won't boot up plus changing this file and that I don't know what I'm doing.

Thanks ahead of time Smiley Happy

You do not need to manually save any files onto these partitions. Some of the software utilities like Microsoft Backup might save the files on the partition. If you do not see any of the files and the steps in the following document does not help, the following the steps to disable the alert itself:

Steps to disable the alert are given in the following weblink:
