Product: 15AC121DX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My son has the above laptop, a HP 15-AC121 DX. The original hard disk failed so I had to replace it. We have no start up disks. How can I get the needed software to wake this laptop up? I have access to the internet with my laptop.
Thanks,
JJFinSRQ

Hi,
Contact HP to order HP Recovery USB for your model: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
They would charge you ~$60 for it.
3rd party online sellers also have it in their stock, reliable one: $27
http://computersurgeons.com/p-28101-windows-10-home-1b-recovery-kit-856408-002-for-hp-notebook-model...
Specs: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04753170
Without spending a penny, you can alternatively clean install Windows 10 Home 64 bit using Microsoft windows media creation tool by creating UEFI bootable installation USB: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html
Additional drivers from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-ac100-notebook-pc-series-touch/8502685/model/...
Windows will be automatically activated after installation while connected to internet
