Hi,
My pavillion Notebook keeps turning off on it's own if the charger isn't plugged in, even though the battery is full. (it won't do it straight away).
Then after that i try turn it on but it won't power on unless the charger has been plugged in. The only way to stop it going off is if i keep the charger plugged in.
It's only recently started doing it.
I was thinking it could be either a faulty battery or over heating. But surely if it's over heating it would go off even if the chager was in.
I'm tempted to get a new battery but don't want to just incase that isn't the fault?
Hoping someone more knowledgable can help?
Many Thanks
David Weeks

You're welcome.
Replacing battery with a new one preferably HP battery part specific for your model, would be the solution to this issue in my opinion.

I did the test after i posted this question and it did fail. Although i did it more than once and the others passed. Strange, i'm sticking with the fail.

David
