Received phone call from HP support (presumeably since I did not not initiate the call) telling me that HP updates for my computer are not happening and the caller would like to correct the problem. The caller told me that they would need to review the event manager to correct the issue. In the HP support assistant there is a list of programs that have not updated for several months.
There may be a problem, I have not not seen any error messages and would like to learn what I need to do to identify and correct the problem. HP updates have not happened for months. I just clicked on the HP event manager, one of the listed applications that failed, checked the box and manually updated it so I know updates can happen that way. They are not happening automatically.
What needs to be checked to identify and help resolve the update probem?
How do I identify a program or event that may be preventing the HP updates?

Hi,
Please forget this and if they call back again, simply hang up and DO NOT allow them to access to your computer. That is a scam, trying to look into your wallet.
Regards.
