Hello
I am not a computer whiz and thought it was normal to have a c drive and a d drive. I have just discovered I have third drive (or partition) that begins \\?\volume{a string of digits}. If the third drive is a partition, I believe it to be a partition of the d drive due to the same dates displaying for when they were last run.
Please can someone tell me if it is normal to have the drive/partition \\?\volume.... as I have never seen such a thing before on any device. I have only ever seen c drives and d drives. If it is not normal, how do I safely eliminate it?

The model number you have posted does not ring a bell but odds are you actually have one hard drive and multiple partitions. Where are you seeing this "volume"...does it have that name in Windows Explorer or disk management or where? How large does it seem to be? Is it affecting anything that you can tell? Did it just appear or has it been there for some time?

I presume that you have opened the Disk Defragmenter, and it is showing those details.
I have seen it, on my computer.
So, I presume that it is entirely "normal".
For a computer running Windows 7, there is a tiny partition, in addition to the 'C:' partition:
DISKPART> select vol 1
Volume 1 is the selected volume.
DISKPART> list part
Partition ### Type Size Offset
------------- ---------------- ------- -------
* Partition 1 Primary 100 MB 1024 KB
Partition 2 Primary 111 GB 101 MB
DISKPART> exit
The above partitions exist on my 120GB SSD drive.
Windows 7 boots from that "tiny" partition, and then completes the boot from the larger partition.
