I understand that you have an issue with your notebook. You have made recovery media and would like to know how to fix your notebook as you are out of warranty. As you did not state what the exact issue with the notebook is but did mention a recovery, here is a link to HP PCs - Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 😎. If you are going to use your recovery media, you will need to change the boot order. HP PCs - Configuring the Boot Order in the System BIOS. Should you like further assistance, please provide details to the exact issue with the notebook.

Hi ,
Please try the following steps..
1) Turn the computer off ; if you can remove the battery, remove it and unplug the charger . Press the power button for 15 seconds and then let go the button .. reseat the battery and plug the charger back. restart the computer.. check if the computer is working.
a) if the battery is not removeable then unplug the charger , and press the volume minus button and power button for 15 seconds ..
2) the charger has to remain plugged in. Press and hold the windows button and the letter B , and while holding them down press the power button till the computer powers on .. let go all the button. the screen would display BIOS UPDATE.. wait for the update to finish, and then the computer should work.
Let us know if these steps help you .. if not i shall post more steps.
Thank you for choosing HP .
