HP Stream 14-ax000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently, I was planning on selling my laptop, so I wanted to reset it. I started up my computer and hit the escape key and then there was a menu called, "Startup Menu" so then I hit the F11 key which brought up the System Recovery screen. I then chose the option to troubleshoot, then  reset this pc, then I wanted to Remove Everything. Everthing seemed to be working and then around 46% I got the message, "There was a problem resetting your PC" so I had to cancel it. I then tried to startup my PC, and my lock screen background was gone, I signed in and it said it was preparing Windows. When it finally finished preparing windows it was just a black screen. There was no desktop, or taskbar. I was able to open task manager and open File explorer, but when I went into there most of my programs had been deleted. I hadn't backed up my computer before doing this, as I was going to sell it and I had no use for a backup. I waited on the black screen after signing in one time and the desktop and tasktbar appeared. But, I wasn't able to click on the Windows Start Menu. Or search windows through the Cortana thing. I don't know what to do.

Hi,

Stream notebooks are very low budget laptops with very very low hardware resources to work with.

My only suggestion to you would be to try clean installation of Windows 10 Home using bootable installation USB by creating it via Windows media creation tool.

Windows will be automatically activated after installation while connected to internet
