I am trying to install a clean version of Windows 10 on an Elitedesk 800 G2 mini, booting from a USB connected optical drive. The installer is asking for a driver, and I cannot figure out which one it is needing. I have tried both Chipset and USB3 with no luck. What driver do I need to continue with this installation?

There may be an alternate way to do this, but I need some information, first.
You mention an optical drive, so I presume you are planning to use a DVD to install Windows?
Is this a single DVD, like the kind that come from Microsoft, or is this a set of DVDs, like the HP Recovery Media?
Also, you mention Win10, but did your PC come with Win10 preinstalled, or did you Upgrade it from a prior OS?
We can proceed when you provide the information.
Thanks

OK, the issue is that your PC has an HP OEM version of Win10, while the MS DVD contains a Retail version of Win10.
While functionally they are the same, they use different product keys for activation.
With older Windows versions the keys were not interchangeable, that is an OEM key would not activate a Retail version, and vice versa.
I have heard conflicting stories about Win10 -- so I don't actually KNOW if your OEM key would work to activate Win10 installed from an MS version.
I will have to defer to others who have done this -- clean-install using MS DVD over an existing OEM version -- to tell you what will happen.
