Hi to all,

I am a little bit confused regarding the Intel Vulnerability. I ran the detection tool and got a Error: system may be vulnerable result. See image....capture20171129130401513.png

I checked Support Assistant and found that the version installed was 6.0.0.1179 .

Am I affected by this vulnerability ?  What should I do ?

Please steer me in the right direction.

Thanks

Hi,

As long as your unit is not listed. You dont have to worry. In any case that your friends computer is listed, just update the Intel ME driver. An update will be available soon.

Hi,

You mentioned that youve run a detectection tool? Can you paste the link here?

This is the link for the detection tool:

HP is well aware of the vulnerabilities of Intel ME. What we are advising our customer is to install the recent update of Intel ME from their website. HP will update the BIOS as well in due time.

Yes, that is the link I used and I posted an image of the results...here it is again.

Is my notebook affected?  Why am I getting unknown version ?

Where do I get the update from Intel or Hp and do you have a name or reference number for it?

Thanks

I checked the liink to the list you gave and I also noticed that it said consumer pcs are not affected in the Vulnerability summary. So I must assume that my laptop is not affected by this. However, running the tool from Intel tells me otherwise but not with certainty ....see the result I get.

Thanks for replies......
