I recently purchaded HP 250 G5 laptop, small problem is that it drains power from the battery when turned off. I use the laptop only about once a week. Last week it was charged to 100% when I turned it off, turned it on today and it's down to 87%. I am shutting down rather than hibernating or sleeping. I have turned OFF "fast start", so I know it's not this causing the battery drain.
Does anyone have any ideas why its doing this? How to stop it?

Hi,
Do you have any external USB devices attached to the laptop, such as wireless mouse?
Are there any other devices attached to laptop?
In Bios is the computer able to wake on LAN or keyboard or mouse?
Let me know,
David

Thanks for replying. There's nothing attached to it when it's switched off, I keep it in a laptop bag with everything unplugged when not in use.
Don't know how to check that in the bios, can you advise how?
Thanks
