Hi,

Everytime I unplug my laptop from the power source, it lags in a sense where i'm typing and nothing appears until i move my mouse. When I try to watch a video, the screen freezes until i move my mouse. Basically the laptop only responds when I move my mouse. Appreciate your help.

Hello @Mien, Greetings!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Forums. I would be happy to help you 🙂

I understand that your laptop lags when it is working on battery. Try the following steps and check:

  • Go to control panel – Power options
  • Make sure the "Balanced (recommended)" power plan is selected. Then select “Change plan settings” next to power plan.
  • Now select “Change advanced power settings”
  • You should see a large list of items that have on battery and plugged in settings - make sure the “On Battery” matches “Plugged in” for all of them, and save the plan.
  • Restart the laptop.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Cheers 🙂
