I opened this laptop up about two months ago and it's been working fine. I even put it in a case when not in use. I had been using it yesterday afternoon and closed it up for a few hours. When I opened it back up, the screen had the appearance that it had been cracked with a bat. I must stress that there was absolutely no physical damage to the unit or screen. It's just the now appearance of the screen. Odd pixelted sections and just a mess. So I hooked it up to hdmi and onto my tv to see if it was still workable. And it was. I decided to just do a complete system restore on it since I'll be sending it in for repair. I started the process last night before bed. Problem is it's now stuck in a restore loop that it can't get out of. The screenshot provided is what happens a minute into the process. It can go no further into the process due to this happening. My question is, can I get out of this and just cancel it or something similar?
Thx

Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.
If you plan to send the device to HP for repair, you can just ignore this and send it to them. HP technicians will take care of this by themselves.
If you want, you can try again to invoke the restore procedure by booting to the recovery partition:
1. Please, shutdown the computer using/holding the power button for a few seconds
2. Power it back on.
2.1 As soon as you press the power-on button, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).
This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one
3. Choose F11 for System Recovery options.
The computer should boot from it's recovery partition to open you various recovery options. Note, that F11 option will only work if the recovery partition is there (not deleted) and intact. From there, you have prenty of options to choose from.
Go to Troubleshoot > please, perform either "Reset this PC" option or start "HP Recovery Manager" (whatever is available for your model).
If this still does not work, please, let me know.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. It did kind of work, in regards to getting me into a new set of menu's to try again, but it still keeps telling me that it cannot complete the process. No matter what I try. Always some vague message like there was an error and it can't be done.
