Hi @Elimarler

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is stuck in a reboot loop and won't fully boot up, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

  • Power Cycle: Sometimes, a simple power cycle can fix minor issues. Shut down your laptop completely, unplug it from the power source, remove the battery (if it's removable), wait for a few minutes, then reinsert the battery (if applicable), plug it back in, and try to power it on again.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: Ensure that there are no hardware issues causing the problem. Check if any cables or peripherals are properly connected and not causing any interference.
  • Boot into Safe Mode: Try booting your laptop into Safe Mode. This can help identify if the issue is caused by a software problem. To boot into Safe Mode, repeatedly press the F8 key while the laptop is booting up until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. From there, select "Safe Mode" and see if your laptop boots successfully.
  • Use System Restore: If your laptop was working fine before and the issue started recently, you can try using System Restore to revert your system back to a previous state when it was working fine. To do this, boot into Advanced Boot Options (by repeatedly pressing F8 during startup), select "Repair Your Computer," then follow the prompts to perform a System Restore.
  • Check for Disk Errors: Your hard drive might have errors that are causing the boot loop. Boot your laptop using a Windows installation disk or USB drive, choose the "Repair Your Computer" option, then open Command Prompt and run the command chkdsk /f /r. This will check for and attempt to fix any disk errors.
  • Reinstall Windows: If none of the above methods work, you may need to reinstall Windows. This will erase all data on your laptop, so make sure to back up any important files before proceeding. You can reinstall Windows using a Windows installation disk or USB drive.
  • Hardware Diagnostics: If you suspect a hardware issue, such as a failing hard drive or RAM problem, you can run hardware diagnostics provided by HP. Most HP laptops have built-in diagnostics that you can access by pressing a specific key combination during startup (usually Esc, F2, or F12). Check your laptop's manual or the HP website for instructions on how to run hardware diagnostics.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a more serious hardware problem,

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
