Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
The notebook pc is not booting to windows; windows 8

Run System Diagostics to test the hardware. Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This should bring up a menu where F2 for System Diagnostics is an option.
