Product: Pavillion touchsmart
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
My lap top won't do anything when I push f9 and only flashes the HP signal

1-Are you saying the laptop won't boot into Windows?

2-Why are you pressing F9- to boot from Recovery Media?

3- Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This should bring up a menu where F9 is a choice. F2 System Diagnostics will be another choice-maybe a good place to start.

4-More info would be helpful to us-  How To Find Model/Product Number
