Hi again everyone. I just installed my new Samsung 850 EVO ssd and did a system image recovery. The computer is working just like it always did, but is NOT showing the new ssd when I click on Computer.
However, when I go into Disk Management this is what I see:
The disk is online but needs to be properly allocated onto C: drive. Can anyone tell me how to get this mess straightened out? Thanks once again to anyone who can help.

Hi,
Nothing wrong with that. You've got C: and another partition (spare) which is unallocated. You can use this spare partition as a second drive to store data or add it to C:
The following instructions may help:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL39102/mp-108875-4/PS5510_1315-1.exe
Regards.

Thanks again banhien!
I haven't downloaded the .exe file yet because I just noticed that the unallocated space is not formatted to NTFS. Is it even possible to format just the unallocated space at this point?
Also, when I tried to use the Windows Extend Volume Wizard I got the message that I can only extend Disk 0 to 476928 MB because "your disk cannot be converted to dynamic or the volume being extended is a boot or system volume."
ps. - anyone know why my images in the original post disappeared?

Whew! Never mind - I finally figured it all out and have everything on a single volume. Holy crow! It's really not complicated, but the Wizard doesn't make things very user friendly. Anyway, this one is solved 🙂
