No start up, white light flashes 3 times and "windows" symbol lights up then back to off.

My laptop recently today will not power on, if i hold the power button the windows button will stay lit as long as i hold it, but once i let go its gone. Its been charging for a few hours, also when I hold the power button the charging led, blinks 3 times. I really need a solution, because I see no reason for it too stop suddenly.

I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer not powering up or booting to the desktop.

Have you made any hardware or software changes on your computer before this issue started?

Have you tried a different power adapter?

If the power port or the adapter light blinks when you try to turn the computer On, it usually indicates that the computer is not receiving enough power. 

Please try a different wall outlet and a different adapter, if possible. Please refer to the steps under "Notebook battery light LED flashes" in this HP Article.
