Hi,

I've been able to repair a few bad sectors of a hard disk that I thought had failed. I suspect it's still failing, so would like to image it as quickly as possible to maintain the information on it and migrate to a new disk.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a preferrably free software application that can be used to image a disk?

I have another laptop disk, but it's not the identical model and may be somewhat larger than the 300GB disk currently in my system.

In fact, I'd like to consider migrating it to an 256GB SSD from the 300GB ATA disk.
