Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

i owned a hp gaming series laptop which had original version of windows 8.1 pre-installed , 2 months back my laptop got stolen and i was not able to recover it. that aside i  got my new desktop assembled 1 week back !

i was wondering if there is anyway to get my original 8.1 windows back (i dont know what is the product key)

 

If anyone know a way plz help me......

The Windows license that comes with HP machine is an OEM license, and that means it is licensed to the Machine, not to the person who buys it, and as such, is NOT transferrable to a different machine.

 

So, if what you're asking is how do you reuse the original HP Win8.1 OEM license from your stolen laptop on another machine, the answer is you don't.

 

Sorry, but OEM licenses are written that way to keep down the cost of Windows licensing.

Hi,
 
The key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:

   http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Software Management section. Windows 8 or 8.1 product key is in there.

You can also use the following tool to find out:

  https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

thankz for replying but i stated that my laptop was stolen so i cant use that method. i want to know if there is any alternative !
