Some people called me supposedly from HP didn't ask for anything just said that I have been having a lot of error reports and stuff and I was sceptical but, I went on anyway. They called from a number something like 303 or something like that.

They made me go to fastsupport.com which made me question so I clicked. Was this a scam? Oh, and they supposedly sent me to one of their engineers.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Yes, this is a SCAM -- as HP does not contact customers to solicit business.

The next thing that they will do is (1) attempt to get money from you and (2) attempt to gain access to your PC.

If they contact you again, do not respond to them --they will try to take over your machine and then demand money from you to give it back to you.

There is a link on the HP support forum main page about this.

I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
