HP Notebook

Had a new laptop today and set it up. I moved away from the screen for a while while I was loading something from USB and it's locked me out.  It's asking for password which I know but it won't accept it when I enter it, so now I can't use it at all! Any help please?

Solved my problem. Stupidest of things. The caps lock was on when I set password up but hadn't realised.

@Mitzi080

Is it a power-on password or a Windows login password???

I'm not sure. It just shows my user name and a log in field for password. It even gave me my password hint which I already knew as I was writing everything down to be safe.
