Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Whenever I unplug my computer, it immediately turns off. I can't unplug it which makes it overheat. I bought this computer from someone, the first time I opened it, it told me that the battery is messed up and that I should contact HP support. My computer overheats and I don't know if this messed up battery can affect performance, but I feel like it is. I would like to either know where and what to buy to replace it and if its effecting my performance.
