Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂
I understand that you have an HP Stream 11 laptop and the internal battery does not work. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you in this case.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- The exact product model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
- Do you receive an error message for the battery (like plugged in and charging, etc.)?
- Is the battery not holding a charge? Does your laptop shutdown if the charger is disconnected?
Meanwhile, Let us run a hardware test on the battery by following these steps.
-
Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
-
Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.
-
The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.

- Select Component tests.

- Select Power. There are two different power tests available, the AC Adapter Test and the Battery Test. Then choose the battery test.
Battery - The Battery Test checks your system to make sure that the battery is functioning properly. It tests the battery and allows you to run calibration if needed. The Battery Check test time is 2 minutes. Battery Calibration time is 2 to 4 hours.
To run the battery test and for battery information, follow the steps in Battery Test.
If the battery test passes then please calibrate the battery: http://hp.care/2nZrk3c (The steps are the same for Win8 and Win10)
Feel free to let me know the results. Cheers! 🙂
