Product: Pavilion DV9500
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

I had a complete hard drive failure and have replaced the hard drive with the same size / model as original, but I do not have a disc to reinstall the OS. By backups contain all my data, but since the old drive would not even spin, there was no way to run system recovery.

 

Where can I find the software download for MS Vista that came pre-installed?

Hi:

 

Recovery media for the dv9500 model series was never available for download.

 

You had to pay HP for a recovery disk set, which they haven't sold in years.

 

The only place that I know of where you can buy Vista recovery media for your notebook would be from this vendor at the link below, who buys up HP recovery media when HP decides to no longer sell the recovery media directly.

 

You must enter the exact product number of your notebook in the search window, as recovery kits are model-specific.
