HP Stream 11-d001dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am running Windows 10 on my HP Stream Model:  11-d001dx

I just did a fresh install and update of Windows 10 and now my touchpad does not work and it does not even show up under the list of drivers in Device Manager nor in the Mouse and Touchpad Settings under the Additional Mouse Options.

What can I do to reactivate my touchpad?

Thank you,

W

Hi!

Just so you will know I finally got the touchpad to work again!

The driver I needed was the

Intel Serial IO Driver without Connected Standby Support

Who would have known?

Have a great day!

hi

install the driver again

Then I went back again and reinstalled the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver.   SP71867  It states:

The drivers were successfully installed on this compute.  If a device came with your software, you can now connect it to this computer.

And below in the box is says:  Status - Ready to use

and - Device Updated.

Then I clicked on FINISH.

Sad to say but I restarted my HP Stream and STILL my touchpad does NOT work, and I still cannot find it in the list in Device Manager.

I found out that this driver is from July of 2015 and it says it is compatible with Windows 8.  I am running Windows 10.

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream 11-d007na Notebook and the Synaptics TouchPad not working correctly. Here is a link to your Synaptics TouchPad driver for Windows 10.

You could try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix the problem.

Thank you for trying to help.

The problem is what you are suggesting is what I already tried:
