Hi,
There are 2 main options I'd suggest, although my personal preference would be for the second option if you just wish to reinstall Windows 10.
1. The machine originally shipped with Windows 8.1 64bit, which is what the recovery partition would reinstall. As you've upgraded to Windows 10, this practically always breaks the function of the recovery partition. You could use your recovery media to reinstall Windows 8.1 ( this would also re-create the recovery partition ) - a guide on this can be found on the following link.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03489643
If you don't have this media and wish to order a replacement set for Windows 8.1, you can do so starting on the link below.

2. An alternative option, if you're intending to upgrade the notebook to Windows 10 again, would just be to perform a clean installation of 10 - as the machine has been previously upgraded to 10, a hardware profile ( Digital Entitlement ) will have been recorded by the activation servers.
As long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after the upgrade from 8.1, you can just create your own installation media and perform a clean installation as detailed in the guide on the following link. Note: At the activation screen, select 'I don't have a Product key' - Windows will activate automatically once the installation has completed.

Hi,
Can you post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of your 15 series notebook - you can usually get this by holding down the fn key and pressing esc, otherwise see Here for a guide on locating this information.
