This will install HP 3D DriveGuard, which provides protection for a notebook computer's internal disk drive if the computer is accidentally dropped or abruptly hits another object. This package is available on supported notebooks with supported operating systems.

I've spent hours reading and looking and searching and came to the conclusion that I was indeed needing the 3d drive guard driver but could not find it in the list of drivers for my device.

 

Sorry for starting a new thread but dang......could not find it!

 

I can stop yelling obsenities aloud and can finally let my blood pressure settle.........after all, only 2 1/2 hours of my life down the drain. ha ha ha.

Yes, I had to find that driver from the dv6t-6100.

 

Your model's support page didn't have the necessary driver.
