HP Pavilion g7-2298nr
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have tried to order a set of recovery dissks for my

HP Pavilion g7-2298nr Windows 8.0 and I keep getting Bounced when trying to order them because HP "sees" that Windows 10 is installed.

The reason for the need to temporarily "downgrade" is that once "upgraded" to Windows 10, the battery does not "register".

I have an HP 2000 that did the exact same thing, and the reason was that the BIOS needed to be flashed to a more current version.

This G-7 has F26 BIOS rev. and I suspect that this unit needs to have the bios flashed, but when I try to get to the DRIVERS/SOFTWARE section on the HP support site my "OS" is not supported so therefore I can't get any drivers or the BIOS flash.

I was planning on doing a temporary downgrade to 8 grab the drivers etc etc and then upgrade back to Windows 10.

Any ideas?  Thanks ahead of time
