I recently bought this computer with the basic configuration for a work project involving LabView. The configuration we needed did not work on this computer for some reason (although it worked fine on other computers with Windows 10) so we decided to downgrade to Windows 7. I borrowed a copy of Windows 7 to install, but need a product key to activate it. It was my understanding that by purchasing this PC, I am entitled to downgrade to Windows 7 if needed.
I am also having trouble getting drivers to install properly. The copy of Win7 that I downgraded to was Windows 7 Professional SP1, but all of the drivers that I have gotten from the Software/drivers section of the HP website did not work properly. Currently the Ethernet Controller and USB 3.0 ports are non-functional.
If anyone has done this before with this computer or if there is an HP technician that can help me it would be greatly appreciated

Hi:
This is a peer to peer forum. HP maintains no official presence here.
Normally downgrade rights to W7 are done at the factory.
In other words, the PC comes with W7 installed but has a license for W10, and you get a set of W10 installation disks along with the PC.
Your only option would be to contact HP technical support in the country you live in, and order a set of W7 Pro recovery disks for your PC.

The HP disk set should be preactivated and should not need a product key to work.
The disk set should also install the W7 drivers and software.
For now, to get the USB ports to work, download and install the amd chipset drivers and restart the PC.
You want the first driver on the webpage.

Ethernet: According to the product specs the PC comes with a Broadcom gigabit ethernet adapter.
You would need this driver for that...
This package provides the Broadcom Network Interface Controller (NIC) Drivers for supported desktop models running a supported operating system.
